Dear Fellow Musician,
Here are two new "QuickLicks" that I've recorded just for visitors to our website.
The first one is a neat ending lick in the key of E that, fortunately for all of us, sounds harder than it really is to play. It's an ascending run, meaning that it starts on the bass strings and moves up to the high (treble) notes.
The second one is a descending run, starting on the high strings and moving down to the bass. Again, it sounds harder than it actually is, so with a little practice you should be able to get it. The trick will be to smoothly incormporate both of these licks into a song.
I hope you enjoy this and others like it that we've done in the past - and will continue to put on the website in the future. Please let me know how you like these mini-lessons and what other kinds of things you'd like to see here. Thanks for watching. I hope you're playing along!
Musically yours,
Happy Traum
